Right Hand Agility Exercise 2

Hey gang! Do you ever find yourself thinking “I just can’t seem to play this right hand melody smoothly!” Well don’t worry.  In today’s video blog post, I’ll be following up on a previous video about right hand fluidity. You can find that first video by clicking here.In that video, I talked about getting comfortable crossing your thumb over your hand while you are moving up and down the piano. To expand on that, I will show you a new pattern you can use while moving up and down one octave at a time with your right hand, and then playing a fun and simple chord pattern with your left hand. I hope you enjoy it!  Simply click on the video above to learn more.

Happy playing!

Love the videos! I have been playing for more than 30 years, by notes. I played in church for a long time. I have short fingers and cannot reach an octave, so I do the short version. I usually add in notes when I play a song. Why do you skip using the thumb until the second note? I have learned a lot but don’t think I could ever play with chords since I’ve read notes for so long.

I really like these little extra lessons because they help me with the course. I am kind of stuck on the second lesson because I am busy around the house but I do get on there and pick it up again.

Scott, I really like your lesson lay out and in between I try to learn some Fats Domino songs and creep along with those.

Once again thanks for these lessons.
