Posted at 10:51h, 15 DecemberHi Roger! Hope all is well in your world…
I have had a few other previous attendees ask me again about doing another one. Would you be interested again? And if so, what did you like better, the “vacationy” ones on a cruise ship or in FL, or the one we did in Indy?

Posted at 21:04h, 15 DecemberScott,
add me to the list. I would be interested in attending your masterclass.
My first choice would be Indy, second Fl. and third, a cruise

Posted at 10:18h, 15 DecemberI signed up for your course last year and have not had an chance to use it. How long do I have access. My husband has been in and out of the hospital
Scott Houston
Posted at 10:52h, 15 DecemberNo worries Lois … You have lifetime access (well, as long as we are in business I guess, which I assume will be for a long time…) to any purchased Courses.
So sorry to hear about your husband. π

I tried accordion for 2 years as a kid. Not very good. I bought your Play Piano in a Flash course and am excited about learning to really play the keyboard. Even a 65 year old retiree can do it. Thank you for the video clip in your emails. They keep me encouraged.

Posted at 17:48h, 15 DecemberAs usual Scot, you ideas are easy, great and helpful.
I suspect that once you learn this pattern, one can go ahead and change keys using l 6- 4 5. Is that right?
Keep up the great work. It’s phenomenal!
Thanks, Judy
Scott Houston
Posted at 09:17h, 16 DecemberAbsolutely Judy! In fact it’s great “mental” aerobics to transpose the changes in different keys. Just remember then that the “safe” notes will change to whatever notes are in the major scale of the “I” chord.

Posted at 20:02h, 15 DecemberHi Scott. I live in the UK. I’m good at the theory but letting go and improvising or comping for myself singing is my headache. I love playing and singing but am always held back. I’d love to watch your TV programs but can’t get them here. Is there any way they can be seen this side of the pond?
Scott Houston
Posted at 09:19h, 16 DecemberThey do not air in the UK currently, but you can see a bunch of the episodes (I think 3-4 seasons are up there…) at http://www.pianoguy.tv
And sorry for the shameless plug, but you should consider the online course here at pianoinaflash.com … If you are looking for a laser focus on what you are describing having issues with, this is it.

Posted at 02:19h, 19 DecemberThanks Scott and Theresa,
I hardly had time to put my socks on to rush off to work. Somehow I’ve found time morning and night to really play the piano and hate to leave it.
The noodling , the advice and the fun I have from your newsletters are so great . Can’t wait for the family to get knocked out by my Jingle Bells.
Have a great Christmas, I cant thank you enough.
The masterclass would only be a dream for me, but who knows.
Bit warm here in Australia, just the way we like it. Xx

Posted at 10:02h, 01 JanuaryI’m having a blast with this! Thanks for posting this! I’m a senior citizen who has played piano all my life and always had to have my music to play. Learning to improvise was on my bucket list. Do you teach more on improvisation? Have a Happy New Year!

Posted at 09:35h, 03 JanuaryGlad you are enjoying this Joan π
We do a lot of improv work all throughout my online method here at pianoinaflash.com it’s kind of “baked into” the non-classical styles we work on throughout the Course. Having said that, starting with Course 4, and on up through 5 and 6 is when we really focus more intently on the skills you need to develop yourself as a good improvisor.

Posted at 15:42h, 22 FebruarySo sorry Brian… I just saw this. Yes, absolutely you can. We have students all over the world. Even better (at least for the next few months until we get the development work completed to start charging) you can get the materials shipped to you for free just like we do stateside here.
We’d love to have you join us π

Posted at 13:41h, 06 JulyI just pulled out my dusty Play Piano in a Flash that’s been hiding in my piano bench for years. Sat down and read through 1/2 the book, went to my piano and within 1 hr. I was playing my favorite song “Dream, dream, dream” again. Still a bit shaky but I know it will get better if I keep it up. Ordered both of your “fake books” and can’t wait to see them. The only problem I’m having is when I sit down at the piano, NOTHING else gets done … I’m lost for hours doing what I’ve always loved and hoped I could do with ease (that will come with more practice). FYI – I learned to play by ear and am self taught to read notes. Much of the rest of the stuff on a music sheet is a mystery to me, hopefully sticking with your plan will solve some of that mystery. Regards, Charlotte – 72 yrs. old and finally getting back to the keyboard π
